Wolfgang Travel

Maison Wolfgang is designed around a principle of data minimisation. Wolfgang SAS collects and uses only the information reasonably necessary to operate and secure the Website, respond to requests, manage voluntary mailing-list subscriptions and understand Website usage at an aggregate level.

The data controller for the Website is Wolfgang SAS, operating the Maison Wolfgang brand.

Depending on how you use the Website, we may process the following categories of information:

  • Contact enquiries: your name, company or organisation, email address, telephone number if provided, the content of your message and any information you choose to provide in correspondence.
  • Mailing-list subscriptions: your email address and, if requested by the subscription form, your name or preferred form of address, together with information necessary to record your subscription and consent.
  • Technical and security information: limited server logs and technical information such as date/time, requested resource, IP address, browser or device information where generated by the Website infrastructure for operation, troubleshooting and security.
  • Audience measurement information: after consent where required, Google Analytics may process a pseudonymous client identifier, session and interaction information, approximate geolocation, and browser/device information in order to produce usage statistics.

We do not ask for special-category or highly sensitive personal data through the Website and ask users not to include such information in general enquiry forms unless it is specifically necessary and an appropriate secure channel has been agreed.

The contact form and mailing-list subscription are separate actions. Contacting Maison Wolfgang does not automatically subscribe you to marketing communications. Mailing-list communications are sent only on the basis applicable to the subscription, and each marketing email will provide a simple way to unsubscribe.

The Website uses Google Analytics solely for audience measurement and Website improvement. Wolfgang SAS does not use Google Analytics for advertising, remarketing, personalised advertising or behavioural profiling, and does not intentionally combine Analytics data with information submitted through the contact form or mailing-list subscription in order to identify individual visitors.

Google Analytics nevertheless processes technical and pseudonymous information. In a standard GA4 implementation, this may include a first-party client identifier, session statistics, approximate geolocation, and browser/device information. Google states that IP addresses are not logged or stored in GA4, although IP information is necessarily processed transiently for technical and location-related purposes.

Analytics is intended to load only after the visitor has given the required consent. Visitors may refuse Analytics without losing access to the Website.

Personal data is accessible only to persons and service providers who need it for the relevant purpose. Depending on the processing, recipients may include authorised Wolfgang SAS personnel and service providers used for hosting, website maintenance, email delivery, mailing-list management, security and Google Analytics. These providers act under their own legal obligations and/or as processors under contractual arrangements, as applicable.

Wolfgang SAS does not sell personal data and does not disclose Website visitor data to third parties for their own advertising or commercial targeting.

Some technology providers, including Google, operate internationally and may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where a transfer of personal data outside the EEA occurs, Wolfgang SAS relies on service providers and transfer mechanisms intended to provide an appropriate level of protection, such as an applicable adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. Google describes its current transfer mechanisms, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable, in its privacy documentation.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for any period required to establish, exercise or defend legal rights. In particular:

  • Contact enquiries and prospect correspondence are generally retained for up to three years after the last meaningful contact, unless a shorter period is appropriate or a longer period is required by law or an ongoing relationship.
  • Mailing-list data is retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent. A limited suppression or compliance record may be kept afterwards where necessary to respect your opt-out and demonstrate compliance.
  • Technical security logs are retained only for the period reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention, subject to the practices of the hosting infrastructure.
  • Google Analytics user and event data is intended to be configured for a maximum retention period of 14 months. Aggregated statistical reports that no longer identify or single out a visitor may be retained for longer.

Subject to the conditions of applicable data-protection law, you may have the right to:

  • request access to your personal data;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion of personal data in applicable circumstances;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • receive or transmit certain data in a portable format where the right to data portability applies; and
  • withdraw consent at any time for future processing where processing is based on consent.

To exercise your rights, contact info@wolfgang.travel. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity before acting on a request.

If you believe that your personal data has been handled unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority, the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL).

Wolfgang SAS applies reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss or destruction. However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

The Website is intended for an adult professional and travel audience and is not designed to collect personal data from children. If you believe that a child has submitted personal data to us inappropriately, please contact us so that we can assess and, where appropriate, delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy when our Website, services, providers or legal obligations change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, by providing additional notice.
